The evidence is in. Can your young detective solve the case?

Step into the fascinating world of forensic science with Education Interactive for a hands-on investigation where science, mystery and problem solving collide!

Children will become forensic scientists and detectives for the day, working collaboratively to examine evidence, analyse clues and piece together what really happened. Through real-world forensic techniques, they’ll put their critical thinking, observation, communication and scientific investigation skills to work, all while trying to crack the case.

With separate investigations created for primary and high school students, each workshop is age appropriate, interactive and packed with opportunities to discover just how science is used beyond the classroom.

🕵️ JUNIOR FORENSIC DETECTIVES

    Primary School

The circus is in town, but after the show one child doesn't return home. Did they run away to join the circus? Were they kidnapped? Or has something else happened?

Our Junior Forensic Detectives will investigate the crime scene and follow the evidence to uncover the truth. Along the way they'll explore:

    • Fingerprinting
    • Animal track comparison
    • Chromatography
    • Digital microscopy
    • Botany analysis
    • Ultra violet examinations
    • Scatology
    • Digital evidence

    🔬 CRIME SCENE INVESTIGATORS

      High School

Our older investigators will tackle a more complex forensic case involving the suspicious death of a drug dealer and an 18 year old accused of the crime.

Students will work together to examine evidence, establish timelines, investigate suspects and determine what really happened. They'll explore forensic techniques including:

      • Fingerprinting and handwriting analysis
      • Digital microscopy
      • Arson investigation
      • Ballistics
      • DNA profiling
      • Blood detection
      • Tyre tread impressions
      • Autopsy reports
      • Digital evidence
      • Microspectrophotometry data comparison

Parent Note: This investigation includes age appropriate discussion around drugs, peer influences and the consequences of poor choices, presented in a way that encourages open conversation.
