LOCATION: CRU Lake Mac, 40 Yarrawonga Park Road, Balcolyn, NSW
OPEN TO: Homeschool students in stages K to 10, plus parents and siblings. (Children 9 years+ can come independently)

We’re heading to Lake Macquarie for an unforgettable 3 day camp created just for our homeschool community. Nestled across 6.5 hectares of waterfront and 40 hectares of bushland, CRU Lake Mac is the perfect place to unplug, connect and dive into the outdoors.

Expect expert-led activities, air-conditioned bunkhouse accommodation, and a program that balances adventure with downtime for chats, rest and good old-fashioned fun.

• Kids 6 to 11: $415
• Teens: $465
• Adults: $395
  (Adult tickets do not include adventure activities but can be purchased separately)

Active 2026 HSAC members will receive a credit of $20 for the camp after purchase.

• All meals from arrival to departure including snacks and supper
• Comfortable bunk-style accommodation
• Full adventure activity program led by CRU leaders
• Time to relax, explore, and connect with other homeschool families

• Two-storey air-conditioned bunkhouse
• Ensuite bathrooms with separate toilet and shower
• Each floor level has 4 rooms, which have 3 bunk beds.
• Common room with WiFi, TV and tables
• Lounge space for reading, games and winding down

Our accommodation block has two levels with 4 rooms on each floor with 3 bunk beds and an ensuite.

Children will be allocated into girls and boys rooms and depending on the ratio on separate levels.

Please note families will not be able to have a room specifically to themselves as the rooms are configured to hold 6 people.

Parents will be roomed together.

Younger children under 5 are welcome however we will first need to reach our minimum number before we can accept.

• $100 payment per person is non-refundable if cancelled after booking, you can transfer the ticket to someone else. Please update us if this occurs.
• All tickets become non-refundable after the 1st of December 2025

No worries. CRU caters for a wide range of dietary requirements and has fridge, freezer, microwave, and gluten-free facilities on site. 

Our camp is hosted at a Christian ministry facility and require that attendees to be respectful and honour their endeavour.

Please note our group might be alongside another school group on the campsite premises.

This is more than a camp. It’s a chance to step into nature, grow together and celebrate the freedom and connection that makes homeschooling so special.
